Account: Common in gardens, hedgerows and scrub throughout much of the British Isles The bright yellow ground colour of the forewing and concolorous head and thorax are distinctive of this species [Bradley]. Larva feeds on shoots and leaves of Rose, both cultivated and wild, living within a spun or rolled leaf, over-wintering as an egg.
