Vernacular: Blackthorn Knot-horn

Account: Local in hedgerows and scrub throughout southern England. Wingspan 23-25 mm. Widespread and fairly common in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Similar to, but larger than, T. advenella. Larva feeds on Blackthorn and Hawthorn, living within a silken gallery between the leaves.
