Vernacular: Willow Hook-wing

Account: Local in fens, marshes, damp heathland and mosses throughout the British Isles Reminiscent of A. uncella in forewing pattern but a smaller species and differs in having the pre-tornal marking obsolescent or obsolete [Bradley]. Larva feeds on Eared Willow and Grey Willow, living between leaves spun together with silk, and over-wintering in a cocoon.
