Account: Local in woodland, gardens, orchards and parks throughout much of Britain The contrasting white costal and grey-black dorsal areas of the forewing, together with the ferruginous apical area and the submetallic blue-grey ocellar area, are characteristic [Bradley]. Larva feeds on Aspen, living within a spun or rolled leaf.
