Vernacular: Scarce Silver-lines

Account: Local in broad-leaved woodland and parks throughout much of England, south-east of a line from the Severn to the Wash and in Cumbria, Lincolnshire and south Yorkshire, as well as in southern and central Wales Unmistakable. Larva feeds on buds and leaves of Pedunculate Oak, Sessile Oak, Silver Birch and Downy Birch.
