Account: Local in woodland, parks, gardens and hedgerows throughout much of Britain, except for the Scottish Highlands; rare in Ireland The most likely confusion species is Carpatolechia notatella, which see for differences. Larva feeds on Elm, living between leaves spun together with silk, over-wintering as an egg.
