Account: Local in fens, marshes, boggy heathland and high moorland, in England and Wales, except for the Midlands north of Oxfordshire, and in south-west Scotland and the western Highlands Unmistakable. Larva feeds on various sedges and grasses, over-wintering as a pupa.
