Account: Nationally scarce (Nb) in coniferous woodland and plantations throughout much of the British Isles, but not in northern Scotland The smallest of the British Epinotia species, characterised by its general dark coloration and obscure markings [Bradley]. Larva mines leaves of Norway Spruce, living between needles spun together with silk.
