Account: Common in gardens, allotments, hedgerows and open woodland throughout the British Isles The main confusion species is Wormwood Pug E. absinthiata, which is larger, with more distinct markings. Larva feeds on Hop, Black Currant and Red Currant, over-wintering as a pupa.
