Account: Common in woodland, gardens, orchards, parks and marshes throughout England and Wales The distinctive forewing pattern readily distinguishes this moderately large and robust species [Bradley]. Larva feeds on White and Goat Willow, Black Poplar and Aspen, living between shoots spun together with silk.
