Vernacular: Barred Red

Account: Common wherever there are coniferous trees throughout the British Isles. Occasional green individuals of the form f. prasinaria, which can be confused with Light Emerald Campaea margaritata, are reported. Larva feeds on various coniferous trees, including Scots Pine, Norway Spruce and European Larch.
