Account: Local in woodland throughout much of south-eastern England, found elsewhere as an introduction in Hornbeam plantations Imago may come to light, but more frequently recorded in the larval stage, when mines are relatively easy to find where they are present. Larva mines leaves of Hornbeam, over-wintering as a pupa in a cocoon.
