Account: Local, on chalk downland and limestone pavements, throughout much of southern England and in the Lake District Identified by the combination of black wings with white fringes and angled cross-lines. Larva feeds on Wild Thyme, Wild Marjoram and Corn Mint, living between leaves spun together with silk, over-wintering as a pupa
