Vernacular: Scarce Tissue

Account: Local in hedgerows, gardens, parks and on roadside verges throughout much of England The most likely confusion species is Tissue Triphosa dubitata, but Scarce Tissue has two dark costal streaks on underside of the forewing, absent in Tissue. Larva feeds on Barberry, over-wintering as a pupa.
