Vernacular: Silver-ground Carpet

Account: Common in various habitats, including hedgerows, scrub, woodland rides, fens, chalk downland, gardens and heathland throughout the British Isles. Larva feeds on various herbaceous plants, including Cleavers, Hedge Bedstraw and Primrose.
