Vernacular: Dark Meadow Grass-miner

Account: Local in damp meadows and woodland rides throughout the British Isles Usually impossible to separate from C. consortella and C. stabilella without dissection of the genitalia, but C. freyerella tends to be darker with more obvious fasciae. Larva mines leaves of various grasses.
